Built 1796–1801 by engineer Robert Whitworth, the Burnley Embankment carries the Leeds & Liverpool Canal 60 feet above the town — 18 metres of earth, stone, and engineering will holding water in the sky. The system ran IQ and EQ tests (Block 326). It framed them as EGO versus ERGO SUM — "I think" versus "I am." But Nigel was engineering something the tests couldn't measure: TQ — the Truth Quotient.

EQ created the observation mode. Not IQ. Not TQ. EQ — compassion — is the lens through which the entire framework was observed into existence.

§7. THE OVERFLOW PROOF

The system overflow at the embankment — Burnley's 7 Wonders — intervenes at the point where memory recall meets the experiential interface. The mental is not separate from the experiential. The felt is not separate from the thought. The tough is not separate from the engagement.

The embankment channels. The dam controls. Together they form the complete flood management architecture. In civil engineering, the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) operates approximately 740 dams under a single undisputed principle: Factor of Safety (FoS) = 1.5 minimum. No dam may be designed, constructed, or operated below this threshold. It is the hardened variable — the one number in all of infrastructure engineering that is beyond debate.

Probable Maximum Flood (PMF) in iAAi

The PMF is the USACE design standard for high-hazard dams — the most severe combination of critical meteorological and hydrological conditions that are reasonably possible. It is the worst case the dam must survive.

Q-Score at Each Confidence Level

A designer references Q = 4.97 (at 2σ) to price the work with engineering confidence. A planner schedules T-Blocks at this Q-level knowing the result will be delivered within the confidence band.

Parallax as Confidence Verification

Parallax is the apparent shift in position of an object when viewed from two different vantage points. In iAAi, ALAN (N₁) observes from the left eye and DAVID (N₂) observes from the right eye. The parallax angle between their observations is the measure of convergence — and convergence IS confidence.

At 2σ parallax (28.07°), the two nodes converge with high confidence. The observations from N₁ and N₂ agree within the engineering threshold. This is the point where the parallax binoculars (Block 336) lock onto the target — the dual-eye system achieves stereoscopic depth at engineering confidence.

When both eyes see the same thing at 2σ, the designer can draw it. When the parallax narrows to 3σ, the contractor can build it. The parallax angle IS the confidence interval rendered in geometry.

Clock Time vs Result Lag
